A book review and giveaway!

A few days ago in the mail I received a book that I had been interested in reviewing. This was a free copy I received from Writer's Lair Books so I could reveiw it and then post it on my blog to give away! That is right, one of you lucky blog readers is actually going to win this book!

The name of the book is "When A Woman Takes an Axe to a Wall" by Allegra Bennett.

First of all the title intrigued me. I wanted to know more, wanted to read the stories in this book. It is a collection of short stories from all different women. The stories are filled with women of courage and change. Women who held their heads high even when times were tough! Women who were not afraid to "take and axe to a wall."

I enjoyed so many of the stories and a couple of them even related to what I am going through right now with the process of starting my own business. So this was an excellent read at an excellent point in my life.

I encourage each of you to find your own copy if you do not win this one. The stories inside these pages will inspire you!

Sneak Peeks coming tomorrow!

Where have I been? Oh my, I have been way too quiet! Well those of you who have frequented my blog in the past month can probably answer that question for any of the new followers/readers!

I have been so busy working on getting my new project kit website put together for my launch date on June 1st. In fact, at some point this coming week I will be sending out my very first newsletter with sneak peeks of my first kits that will be launched when the site goes live on June 1st. So.....

New Project, Chance to win it, and Happy Mother's Day to all!

First of all I want to wish each of you a wonderful Mother's Day! I am spending today with my husband and 6 year old daughter, heading to my sister's house to meet up with my parents for a yummy lunch. (fingers crossed my sister is making her delicious homemade ice cream)

Now the photo above is a welcome candle stick light with a shade that I altered using the brand new DeLovely line by Cosmo Cricket. This line is fresh, lively and fun! So many spring and summer colors that I have to say it is just "DeLoveliest" line ever! Plus the bright and fun colors in this line remind me of the bright and fun personalities of the Cosmo Cricket folks! (Julie, Eric, and Lindsay) What do you think?
