So I was asked by Cosmo Cricket to work on a project for them. My assignment was to alter the 7 Gypsies Binderie punch. Well as always I wanted to do something clever. It took me a couple days of staring at the punch and staring at Early Bird which is the line I was dying to use! Then it was like that little Cosmo chipboard toaster jumped right off the Ready-Set-Chip sheet and hit me smack dab in the face! A toaster I thought...with a matching toaster cover! So that is what you see in the picture above!

Well, I just kind of drew a pattern for the cover. I measured the height, width, and depth. Then I drew from paper a rectangle and rounded the top corners. Then I drew a long panel that would fit between the 2 rounded rectangles I needed to cut. I was using muslin which is thin so I also needed to take some fusible heavy interfacing and iron to the back. So once I did that I had to slowly and carefully sew the pieces together making sure I clipped the curves. I then used Fray check along the bottom edge and went to town decorating it with the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird collection!
